SPINCHILLA

The heart of the underground is alive and well in Chattanooga. DJ and producer Spinchilla, a frequent contributor to community stages, late-night renegades, and dance parties in the greater Tennessee region. Growing up with a love for music since age 9, his origins in electronic music began when he was introduced to FL Studio in 2012. After DJing at small gatherings and building his brand in the years following, he organized his first event on Halloween 2016. Soon following, he teamed up with his good friend and DJ Happy Camper and formed CampChilla, an amalgamation of the two musical projects and an event coordinating dynamic duo, which has produced countless back-to-back sets and given dozens of local producers the opportunity to show off their talents. Spinchilla’s signature style can be described as a heart-stopping, headbang-inducing, high-energy live show that invokes elements of heavy bass, melodic dubstep, powerful vocal samples, and dominant drops. Recent standout releases include “This is Not a Drill” on Boomtic Records (UK) and the self-released "It Happens” featuring fellow Chattanooga-based up-and-comer WerD. Following appearances at the SooperGroop campground stage at the 2019 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Synchronicity Festival 2019, and supporting top regional talent such as Vibe Emissions and Chief Kaya, Spinchilla is looking toward the future. He’ll soon be debuting the Spinchilla project in Nashville, opening up for Canvas—a member of Street Ritual’s talented roster, and working on even bigger things for 2020.
